DJ Sbu Biography, Wife, Contact Details, Albums and Songs

DJ Sbu whose real name is Sibusiso Leope was born on 28th May 1979 in Tembisa, South Africa. He is a South African Kwaito musician, entrepreneur,record label owner, TV presenter and club and radio jock. 

Education Background

He matriculated from the Central Secondary School in Pretoria in 1993. He then went on to study sound engineering at African Media University and also studied electrical engineering at Technikon Witwatersrand.

Career as a media personality.

His career in media began in 1998 at the community radio station, Tembisa Info Radio, where for 18 months he voluntarily produced and presented the weekend show.

In 2000 he joined the popular radio station YFM, where he produced and presented a weekend slot called Beauty and the Beast with Angela Ludekon. His popularity grew so much on the station that in 2005 he was given his own primetime slot called Y-Lens.

In 2007 he left YFM and went on to host the breakfast show on Ukhozi FM. He returned to YFM after a year and left again to join Metro FM in 2010.

He hosts a reality game show called ‘Friends Like These’ on SABC 1.

On April 2015 he was fired from Metro FM for promoting his energy drink on stage at the Metro FM awards. He joined Cliff Central after he was fired.

He hosts a show on CNBCA Africa in collaboration with Forbes Africa called “Kicking doors with Sbu Leope”

Entrepreneur

He was the co owner with Thembinkosi Nciza of TS Records which they decided to shut down in 2017 to focus on their business ventures.

He is the founder of the energy drink called Mofaya.
